It was time to party on Oct. 27 at 9 Lives Saloon in Little Five Points, Atlanta as PRICK celebrated its one year anniversary. What a year! With the help of a lot of folks, a few celebrities and a ton of talented tattoo artists and piercers, we wanted to thank everyone for making this year a monumental one. But before we even got to the beer drinking, we celebrated down Euclid Avenue during the annual L5Pts Halloween Parade. With both events happening on the same day, it was an all day PRICK fest.

The parade kicked off promptly at 5 p.m. as we slowly drove down Euclid Avenue in our makeshift float. We definitely didn't have the flashiest float, but when you've got a big sign that says PRICK, people are bound to pay attention. Members of our staff threw out candy and magazines to unsuspecting parade revelers and to a lot of our cheering fans. The little kids running up to the float for candy with a giant sign saying PRICK had a few parents a bit confused and worried, so we gave the puzzled parents a magazine. This cleared up some confusion, but left some parents with even more horrific expressions on their faces. This was a Little Five Points parade, though, some freaky shit is to be expected. The event proved to be a lot of fun, and allowed us even a bit more exposure to the community.

Syrup was rockin' like BITCH

The anniversary party at 9 Lives was the next stop on the PRICK fest. I have to start out by expressing my most heartfelt thanks to the crew at 9 Lives and all the people who came out to support us. Everyone that showed up had their party hats on and all the bands that played just simply kicked ass. Those who attended represent the core elements that have made this magazine possible. The line up of bands included Flathead Mike and the Mercurys, who put their usual rockabilly attire aside for the evening and dressed up as a death metal band. Lead singer Mike Niles wore long black wig over his normally flawless five inch tall pompadore, which baffled and amused everyone who knew him. The Evils put on a scorching rock show, followed by Syrup, who were also sporting old school rocker wigs dressing as the famous Atlanta band BITCH instead of their customary rhinestone cowboy hats and flashy outfits. But their sex rock sound and stage show quickly showed their true colors. Rat Salad, a Black Sabbath tribute band, took the stage to close the night out dressed as KISS and completely rocked the house.

Ozzykiss or Rat Salad?

There was a keg of beer provided by the bar and a large bottle of Tequila provided by my man Ted of BITCH and 9 Lives fame and let's just say that everyone who knew of the free spirits took full advantage and we all got our drink on in a big way! The place was packed and there was even a random guest appearance by Lief Garret! Thanks again to everyone who showed up. Everyone there gave us so much love and support that I'll keep this magazine rolling as long as I possibly can and put all of you in it sooner or later. Thanks for making this mag a success!
