Rewind ... August 2003 ...
Two guys armed with little more than a video camera and what they thought was a good idea, made their way to the 2nd Annual
Washington D.C. Tattoo Expo all in the hopes of interviewing a few artists for what would soon become Porkchop's Art Intensity Network
DVD video magazine.
One year, four volumes, thousands of miles and dozens of artist interviews later, The Network is still the only video tattoo magazine around
and it's taking the industry by storm. And now we've teamed up with PRICK magazine to give artists and fans even more tattoo coverage and
exposure. Look for PRICK content in upcoming Porkchop DVDs.
What better way to celebrate our one year anniversary than by returning to the scene of the crime; The 3rd Annual Washington D.C.
Tattoo Expo, which took place this year August 27-29, another Eternal 66 production brought to you by Brian Everett and Terry "Tramp" Welker. The show was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, which is a towering hotel topped with a glass-walled, circular dance club with a
rotating floor that overlooks the Pentagon.

Despite a slow start on Friday and some serious elevator delays, this year's show shaped up to be packed with excitement and surprises.
The artist turnout was just what you come to expect at an Eternal 66 show. Featuring a who's-who of veteran pros and hot up-and-comers,
with the likes of Jack Rudy, Deano Cook, Hannah Aitchison, Tim Kern, Dave Martinez, Tony Olivas and Jason McCarty showing up to do what
they do best. Not to mention a surprise appearance by Merle Allin of G.G. Allin's Murder Junkies fame. And if all these major players weren't
enough, this show had much more to offer. Along with some amazing tattooing, there was everything from custom skateboard decks to tattoo
art toilet seats available. And for the professionals, an impressive array of quality tattoo and piercing supplies were on display.
The competitions revealed some incredible entries with the winners of the Best of Day awards receiving a special bonus prize of a custom
tattoo machine by Next Generation machines.
Thanks to Brian and Tramp's continued support, we were able to score some great interviews with some truly talented individuals. Tom
DePreist gave us the low-down on his upcoming Cocoa Beach show co-produced by Billy Eason and Tony Olivas. Dave Martinez gave us some
insight on his unique angle on the tattoo business. Annett LaRue spoke with us about the Halloween show in New Orleans and we had some
good talks with Tattooville's "Shoe," Steve Morris of Ancient Art, Steve Kinder of H2Ocean and the fine folks of Eternal Ink. All of this and more
from the 3rd Annual D.C. show can be found in an up coming volume of The Network.
So once again, Brian, Tramp and their
hard working crew have brought yet another
great show to our ever growing industry.
And also provided a wonderful opportunity
for two fledgling videographers to celebrate
their one year anniversary.
