Having established itself as the tattoo clothing line for celebutantes and hipster's with a little disposable income, Ed Hardy has now ventured into the shoe market. With styles ranging from $33 flip-flops to $297 women's cowboy boots, the entire spring 2006 collection features the artwork of Don Ed Hardy, considered by many to be the godfather of modern tattooing. These high-quality sneakers, motorcycle boots and slip-ons are made of leather, suede and other materials and come in a variety of colors such as black, red, camouflage print, or somewhat gaudy combinations like aqua blue and orange. But, of course, it's Hardy's traditional and Japanese-style decorations of skulls, animals, racing flags, geisha girls, and other images that are the main attraction with these shoes. And next month, the fall collection will be released with pumps and other new designs and art.
