Masuimi Max was born to tease and titillate. The L.A.-based model, actress, burlesque performer
and fire eater has managed to accomplish more than most in a relatively short amount of time,
and she has done it all with her own sense of style and sultry beauty. Her most recent accomplishment
as "Global Miss HIN Spokesmodel" for Hot Import Nights, an import car show, will take her to
cities across the U.S. and abroad.
At the age of 18, Masuimi started performing at a strip club in Las Vegas called Club Paradise where she
learned to play with fire: "One of the choreographers that worked with the showgirls there helped me with
my first show and taught me how to handle fire," she recalls. These days, she captivates audiences worldwide
with her fire eating performances at fetish and fashion shows, films, and mainstream events.
Transitioning from a Vegas show girl to the model, actress and stage performer she is now was not easy.
Few have the kind of appeal that crosses both mainstream and alternatives audiences like Masuimi.
"It was very hard for me in the beginning; I didn't work with an agency, so I had to learn how to manage
myself and handle my own booking inquiries.
Also, I wasn't the typical beauty and I didn't have
the 'look' that most companies wanted back
then. I did a lot of jobs for little to no pay just to
get my foot in the door and to show them what I
was made of.
"My big break into modeling came from Trashy
Lingerie in L.A. Modeling for Trashy gave me great
exposure to a diverse audience," she confesses.

Masuimi is a chameleon who can transform herself
into whatever the company who is hiring her
is looking for: "The main companies I work
for right now – Trashy Lingerie, Hot
Import Nights and Coffin Case (as
Vampira) are dramatically different
from each other
and require a specific
look, which is fine by me
because I love variety. It
is exciting to be a sexkitten
lingerie model
one day and a dark, sinister Vampira
the next!"
She will be transforming herself again in two
upcoming movies, "State of the Union" which is
slated for a Spring 2005 release and "Black Dahlia."
She made her debut T.V. performance last April in
an episode of "Fear Factor."
When she's not modeling and performing,
Masuimi likes to bake and shop. "When I lived in
Texas I used to spend some time at the shooting
range. Now that I live in L.A. and most of my
work is here, I rather enjoy just staying in on my
days off." She enjoys listening to music that "makes me want to dance
... or whatever reflects my mood at that particular moment."

While Masuimi's tattoos add to her distinctive flair, she has also
had to endure hours of laser tattoo removal to perfect the look. "I
had the tattoo on my forehead, stomach and the Giger-style tattoos
on my back removed. It was a long, painful process. Shortly after the
last laser removal session on my back, I started to work on my
cover up. The outline for the new tattoo and the white that was
'pounded' into my back to cover up what was left from the old tattoo
was grueling.
"I am currently having the lettering on my arms
removed. I like the red dragons solo. Lucky for me the
laser doesn't affect the red tattoo ink, so my
dragons are beautifully intact," says
Masuimi.
The red dragon tattoos on
her arms, and the color dragon
and flowers on her back are
all by Mark Thompson from
Obscurities in Dallas, Texas. The
black dragons are by Mel of Mel's
Tattoos in Las Vegas, NV.
As far as any future tattoo plans, "None that I can think
of. That has been one of my biggest problems ... I don't plan,
I just do!"
Well, we can't wait to see what she does next!
