De Novo Dahl :: Move Every Muscle, Make Every Sound

De Novo Dahl
Move Every Muscle, Make Every Sound
Roadrunner Records

Released at the end of March, De Novo Dahl's second full-length album takes its cues from the last five years of pop music and boils it down to all the little parts that made those songs memorable. The album sways between a synthesized version of The Strokes or The Killers and has a good bit of female vocal backing throughout. It’s a nice change from hearing a pair of tight pants falsetto-ing his heart out. And speaking of girls, I don't know if the dudes in this band are getting any, what with all the fluffy buzzwords they’ve substituted for meaningful lyrical content. Let’s just think of De Novo Dahl as simple, good pop music, or easy listening with a slight chance of credibility.
