The Holland Dutch
Self-Starter

Self-Starter is the debut release from Atlanta-based trio The Holland Dutch. The album has a slight girly-pop feel akin to bands like The New Pornographers and Throwing Muses. Listening to this rockin' release will definitely get your toes tappin' and fingers snappin' to their shifting tempos and vocal harmonies. Although their music has a very poppy veneer, underneath the surface lays complex and darker undertones. The lyrics venture into territories and subjects you wouldn’t expect while the beat keeps jingling on. Highlights include "Sad Salute"and "Kids Are All Grown." As we approach spring and summer, this is the perfect release for those bright and happy days.
