Hipsters rejoice! Your anthem album of 2008 has arrived in the form of the self titled debut from Vampire Weekend. Think Simon and Garfunkel for a crowd too young to know who Simon and Garfunkel are. A smooth, '70s era throwback of clean, melodic guitars and clearly spoken lyrics, VW infectious tunes like "APunk" and "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" are bound to be stuck in your head until September. Vampire Weekend is probably what it sounds like when Wes Anderson takes a shit, but that's not such a bad thing, is it? Tell your friends you heard about them months ago to gain indie credit points.
