While the Young Liver's formula isn't exactly new - a post-hardcore band from Gainesville, Fla. released by No Idea Records - their music still
catches your hardened ear. The Young Livers throw a little dirt into face of their music, with no time to explain why or apologize before diving head first into their next track. Expect plenty of vocal intensity with catchy hooks and sporadically skilled musicianship in the background. The dueling guitars, dancing bass lines, and maniacal drumming are a stark yet surprisingly soothing contrast to the gritty vocals. Highlights include "Non Monumental" and "Drinks Are Our Amnesty."
