The piercings from the 9th Annual South Florida Tattoo Expo are off the chain! One particular piercing still makes me a little queasy, I have to admit. Call me a wuss and twist my nipple, I don't care. Watching Joe Amato's 10 inch piercing, in which he works a needle and tube across Nikki's abdomen, nearly makes me fall out. Nikki pulls through, though, with a wince and Joe's piercing is a success. Tim McDanel, the eyelid guy, ends up getting suspended! The original suspension crew got canceled due to the hurricane, but after some scrambling and the skills of Lukas Zpira a renowned piercer from France (check him out at www.body-art.net), the suspensions continue. It is a great finish to a great show. The apparatus of choice for the suspension is a bell boy cart. The harness is skillfully attached and Tim is hooked up and wheeled around the event floor in the lotus position. It's a crazy site!
